:D Hahaha - this could suddenly turn into a very long thread, couldn't it?

I'd stress, there's other folks round here who's opinions might be more useful than mine. But...

He's less helpful than the other gentleman with the photos, but it certainly looks an exotic color, doesn't it? Not many of those around - well, 400 to be precise. Don't get carried away with ideas of collectable value. Add 'em all up, there's a heck of a lot of "special" Strats in the world, especially amongst MIMs. Still, look after it and keep it stock, I guess it would at least hold its value better than a regular Standard.

But don't think about that: go for it if you think it's pretty. People have differing feelings about colored headstocks, but at any rate it undeniably weds a neck to a body.

Purely personally, I am not keen on the relic thing so that big scratch would put me off, though it looks like it may just be in the clearcoat and so could be polished out with automotive T-cut or similar. But don't rely on my opinion on that!

Be curious to see where the price ends up. I have a strong suspicion the reserve is well above 50 bucks!

Cheers - C

I also have one of those "Special Edition" metallic finish Strats. It is a unique axe, with a beautiful neck and nice sound. ImageIt is a killer looking axe, and all I know is it is a 1996-97 MIM Fat Strat. It has a vintage style neck w/ spaghetti logo and vintage style tuners. I don't know what madel it is (Deluxe??).
