I just bought this guitar from GC yesterday. It's a 2003 American Std. Strat. They had it listed as Vintage white, but it doesn't look like that on the color chart. I know that they don't make 2005-2007 model strats with Arctic White.

Is this actually Arctic White. Is it worth more if it is??? http://used.guitarcenter.com/usedgear/details.cfm?listId=104410033

Thanks!!!

I would look at your link, but since this is a color issue, it wouldn't do any good, my computer monitor is fixin' to go south and it's not showing colors real well, everything has a green tint to it.

I'm not too sure, but I think what they use to call olympic white, is now vintage white, artic white is kinda like an off white or a very light cream color. When I bought my strat it was artic white and had some cream to it compared to other white models.

Vintage white is basically what an Olympic white will look like after years of ownership. I think Arctic white is slightly brighter of a white than Olympic white, and Vintage white is pretty cream colored.

The picture you linked is definitely either Arctic or Olympic. It'd be creamier if it was Vintage.

even given the differences in monitors etc I would be sure that you DO NOT have a Vintage White.

it is way too white... not creamy yellow enough

I have a 2004 in Vintage White and it is really creamy white.

Give it a few years and it will aged up.

That last pic there-----^, that's what my artic white looked like after about 4 years, but when new, it was still alittle creamy, but you couldn't tell it was creamy unless you put it up against another white guitar. Come to think about it, I'm not sure how long the darn thing hung in the music store. It could've darkened up alittle with age. But the older it got the more creamier it got.

After the 4 years, mine started to stain all over the place, especially around edges. It was beige colored stains that looked like they were down inside the paint, rather than on the surface and were kinda streaked around. It was permanent too, an act of congress couldn't even get them off. Mine always stayed out in the elements though, it never slept in the case.

Those whites sure do relic good, and quick.

Can you clarify?
