How do the flat wounds compare to normal strings Chet? As far as playability and tone?

Tone wise I get a beefer tone, more bottom end. I love the feel and if I drag my fingers up/down the neck I get no string squeal. They last as long if not longer than round rounds.

2002 Fender Highway 1 Strat -- pre-Greasebucket, pre-"Upgrades". This one get played the most. It didn't show wear like everyone thought it would.
