Am I seeing things? Is there a 2+ year gap in the beginning and end of the thread?

BKBs, did you stay with the '95 this extra time and are looking again? Just curious, I recently bought a mint Olympic White 95 American Standard that I am very happy with; one of those coincidences on the forum. Are you going to go for a newer AmStd model? Different pickups for different sounds and keep the 95? Happy hunting for that new one!

Way tougher than me. My ex would go out and buy shoes as 'therapy' for the slightest thing. I do the same with guitar gear...

Hey John sorry for the late reply to this thread.
ya I just had that 90's strat refretted which was quite the ordeal to say the least but I picked up a few of the newer ones as well and they seem to be working really well way better build than the older ones I have but they have gone back to the vintage saddles which players that palm mute may not like but they claim it retains the vintage tonality. pickups are better too they are fat 50's which hum cancel in the notch positions.
