Hi All,
I need help from strat owners, I am currently looking at buying a USA Strat, with so many Strats out there with different combinations of pick ups, models , years… its doing my head in.

Basically I am after the best Strat for nice rock blues tones, classic rock etc. I would be really appreciative if you guys could suggest a suitable model that I sould look at. are there particular years models that are better than others? Any models I should stay away from?

cheers Guys...

08 American Standard. Great guitar for the money. Nothing to mod with this one. I love mine. 8) Mike

The 08 American Standard Strat is a great guitar, and would suit your purposes just fine. I have an American Deluxe Strat, only because it had a few extra goodies. Had I not gotten that guitar, my next choice would've been the 08 American Standard.

The Highway One series is AWESOME! I would recommend a Highway One Strat or Tele! Even the HSS HWY 1 Strats are beautiful sounding. And for The money you pay for an American guitar, you can't go wrong. :D

Your best bet is to go to a local shop and try them all out. Personally I'd suggest a 62' Vintage Hot Rod just because that's the one I'm going for next, but who's to say it's a good guitar for you. Try them all and find one that you like.

I agree the HWY 1 is awesome; however, if you can spend the extra money, get the American Deluxe.

I always recommend to play all the guitars in your price range, on equipment simular to yours, and choose the one that talks to you.
