Hey everyone,

I just got a sweet used mexican that i'm going to take apart and fiddle with. I have a stripped screw holding one of the pick-ups to the board and the pickguard is pushing it up. anyone have an suggestions as to how to fix it?

thanks. i also was wondering if any knew where i could touch up paint for a knick.

Not sure if I folowing your explaination right. If it is a screw that goes into plastic or wood, you can just clean out the hole (leave it a little rough) and fill it with any epoxy filler and re-drill slightly smaller than the screw. If the screw goes into metal then you may need to whistle the hole out a little, re-tap some threads and go to the next size bigger screw. If that was the case I'd go to a Fender service center and have them work their magic on it. They have dealt with all of this kind of crap over the years.

A woodworkers "trick" is to fill the hole with a dowel or toothpicks and re-insert the screw. The fix will be invisible once reassembled.

It's genetic. I come from a long line of carpenters, cabinetmakers, ..... and potato farmers, lol.
