If you e-mail the Support folks at Fender, they may be able to mail you back a detailed description of your guitar as it was prepared in the factory based on it's serial number. For instance, "A" plus six digits may indicate a Japanese-built, 1985-1986 guitar .....

You bought that used right???

I could be wrong, but I don't think that's a 100% fender product. It looks like somebodies custom job they built for shredding and they just used a squire neck on it. The body was obviously painted by somebody, you can tell by the paint line in the neck pocket, a spray gun doesn't shoot that fine of a line. The bridge looks like it's vintage spec'd, and squires come from across seas where everything is metric spec'd. The pot doesn't look like Fenders either (actually the one you have is probably better).

I bet if you put the serial # in here: www.guitardaterproject.org , you would find that it would list a totally different guitar then the one you have.
