Hi fellow members......well first of all i have a couple of Fender strats which i own and have tried others which i like certain feature of it but not all.For example i love the features like:
-the fender '57 body contour
-the '57 vintage hot rod electronics
-the large 70's headstock from the H1 and the American Vintage 70's strat
-the S-1 switching of the deluxe model
-the Schaller locking tuners with the "F" logo feature from the HSS deluxe model etc etc

.....at the same time i read a lot of peeps have mentioned that an ash body produces "bell-like" tones....WOW!!....So what did i do?Make my own Fender strat of course.....all parts are genuine US Fender except for the body which i had it made by OGF in surf green and one solid piece Ash.....

End result....

With my other Fender guitat...the HSS Deluxe Stratocaster and the YJM model...

I am more than satisfied with the outcome...and true enough the clean tones coming from the Ash body are like "bells" compared to my other Fender.....the S-1 switching gave more selection of tones at my disposal together with the DiMarzio Tone Zone at the bridge....all i can say is i cant stop putting the guitar down at the moment....

Note:: the plastic cover on the pickguard is still not yet peeled....

Very Nice. I take it you prefer Maple fretboards?

Yep.....i have a few Ibanez in rosewood and ebony....so maple was the choice for the Fenders.Unless you can convince me that the rosewood on Fenders are very much different from the $@! Ibanez which i own....

But i'm eyeing on the Vinatge '62 Hot Rod.... :D....

Great idea, and very cool guitars. Love surf green, great job.

Just my opinion, but that pickguard looks too "white" to me. The mellower, yellowed look of the pickup covers looks great, but those warm whites, mixed with the cold, hard bright white of the pickguard makes the guitar looks like "something's" just short of perfect.

Maybe it's just the lighting in the pic. I'm a picky SOB though (creative team lead), so I'm very visual about stuff like this.

wow, i dont think fender custom shop could have done a better job.

not a big fan of surf green, but something bout your guitar makes that color shine through.
im assuming you got all parts from ebay?

congratulations. it must feel good to have done that yourself.

Love that Surf Green! Too tasty!

A great combination of specs. Where'd you get the neck? Do you now have a spare body lying around?

Nice work, man. Your own sig.

Cheers - C

Swap you a bmw for the green 70's hotrod. :D

Bet that s1 sounds super with the tonezone and scn's. I thought about putting it in my 57hotrod but decided to get some scn's and put it in my partsocaster with the clapton boost.

Lovely guitar mate.

That's a beautiful guitar you have there. The color is gorgeous, and I love the pearl pickguard. Stunning!

Thanks for the kind words guys.....yeah most of the part are bought online from eBay mainly from STRATosphere, GuitarpartsresourceLLC and Parts is Parts.Except that the body was custom paint by Orion Guitar Finishing as i cant find any solid one piece Ash body with the 50's contour by Fender especially in Surf green...

Excuse me for pictures as it was taken indoors as it has been raining quite a while these few days and lighting was bad too.

@niki :: Yeap the S-1 switch really make wonders with the SCN and Tone Zone...

Thanks again for the compliments...
