Does anyone know how I can find out more about the NOS strats that Fender produce?

I'm mainly interested in which frets are used, Medium Jumbo or Vintage.

I can see all the other models on this website but nothing about the NOS stuff.

Cheers
Barry

my guess is that if you look up the "really" old stuff you will find what they use on the "new old stuff". :)

I've heard of NOS vacuum tubes and other electronic components like germanium transistors. But I have not heard of NOS guitars. :?

"NOS" as it relates to (Fender) guitars can be found on this website. Click on, "Products" at the top left. Once in, click on, "Custom Shop". They are literally new guitars made from the original tooling to the original specs of various years gone by.

I thought NOS = New Old Spec

As in, it is a "new" guitar but made to the "old spec" of guitar made long ago.
Example: '69 Telecaster Thinline Re-issue

That is not right?
:?:

NOS=New Old Stock

and what it means is that they make a guitar to the original vintage specs, but they make it like it is a new guitar so its not reliced or has the light checking in the finish like the closet classic guitars have

its only a way to know if it looks like a relic or like a new guitar, just by reading the guitars name...

You got it bluestube here is a NOS description as a sample.

Fender 66 Stratocaster NOS Description: The '66 Stratocaster NOS guitar faithfully recreates one of the great Fender guitars from one of the most wildly creative years in popular music. It's an exact reproduction of the original, using the same techniques and tooling, right down to its nitrocellulose lacquer over urethane finish, big peg headstock with '66 transition logo with three patent numbers, early '60s C-shaped neck with Pearloid inlays, F neck plate and vintage tuners. Even the pickups have been duplicated to the exact specs of the original. This guitar has been given our New Old Stock (NOS) treatment-built (from original tooling) as if bought new in its respective model year and just found today.

Try checking out the link to the Fender Custom Shop, I think it'll have a boatload of information there for you. :D
