Lets leave the shark fins to the other brands. Now maybe not fret markers at all could be cool.

Yeah let's leave the shark teeth to Ibanez. I ditto the idea of no fret markers.

I think a rose would fret board with a thin single stripe of maple for the markers or vice versa.

i like the look, however, ibanez and jackson already do that.

no inlays on rosewood would look cool. as simple as this is, its almost that tough too.

Perhaps like putting a pearloid "F" logo instead of the normal inlay dots...the "F" logo like those found of the Fender Schaller tuners....

That would look cool IMO...

cool idea,

my interpretation of that is maple neck, no inlays except a large Fender F
in 12 th fret, overlapping 11th, and 13th.
with lsr nut, schaller locking tuners. on a deluxe red body. and pickups of your choice. yeah.
im drooling.

I think I've seen some of Fender's acoustics with an F at the 12th fret. I can't remember if it overlapped some.

And I'm too lazy to research it.

I would like to see a maple fretboard with NO inlays on it except for the 12th fret. That fancy Fender "F" centered at the 12th fret overlapping to the 11th and 13th frets. Side markers would be cool on this setup just as black dots on the side of the neck. We all love Strats here, but Fender is kind of set in their ways about certain things and are probably afraid that (for example) if they were to build something "different" and cool (like the design that I laid out in another thread) that it wouldn't sell as well as some of the other models. Having almost EVERY guitar in a line-up look the same is as ridiculous as having every band in the world sound the same as well...SO COME ON FENDER AND GET ON WITH IT!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to see the numbers 1,3,5,7,9,12,15,17,19 and 21 on the board :D

The best fender inlay i saw was on a korean showmaster. All black body and headstock ebony board with nothing on it except a scorpion covering 11-13. I was so tempted to get that guitar.
