I wanted a new American Standard... then found the one I wanted over the weekend and bought it.

What a wonderful guitar! Sienna sunburst with rosewood fingerboard. I have a AV '52 reissue with a maple neck; and all the Maple vs. RW threads: rosewood wins. It is very nice to play.

For anybody thinking about getting a Standard - get it, you will not be dissappointed.

I guess I need to think of what's next on the list...

Those rosewood fretboards are buffed very well too and the new cases are great, IMO.

Hello Efria,

The sienna sunburst guitars I do believe
are my favorite finish, around these parts
they were uncommon in the s/s/s config.
My son talked me into geting 3tone sunburst,
such is life.

Best of luck with your new axe.

Cheers.

Hm... mm... that second guitar from the RIGHT, that looks unfamiliar to me... i have not seen a single cutaway stratocaster with 3 by 3 headstock... and the inlays... and it does not say fender on it. It's a very strange strat :)

NIce new guitar. I wish i could have the money to satisfy GAS (it happens to all guitarists, even novices).

efria - Welcome to the Forums. Your new Strat is sweet.

That Sienna Sunburst finish sure has gotten popular.
