Hi. I just picked up a used new-style Clapton Signature Stratocaster. Does anybody out there know what kind of battery life they get? I know they're on when they're plugged in.
Thanks for any help. Don't want it to die on a gig, but I don't want to just waste batteries and bucks out of fear either.

Something like 400 hours of play to a tiptop battery. I change it every month though batteries deteriorate over time. Would you want a duffer leaking acid all over the inside of your clapton strat. Save the old battery for your wah pedal or tuner. Batteries never seem to die in them.

That's the price you pay for active electronics. Try using the 'bunny' batteries and make sure you pull the plug when the guitar is down. If you're gigging you should plan on a standby guitar.

If you purchase them in bulk at a discount vendor, I'd change the battery before every gig. What's a buck or two? If you're gigging you should also plan on a standby guitar.
