Welcome Amit. That question will surely bring many personal opinions so I'll put in my $.02 worth: the 3-tone sunburst.

Happy hunting and again welcome.

I seem to prefer Black, but the Sunburst is not bad either.

I like 3 C Sunburst but then again if you mean the Candy Cola and not Red I get a Candy Cola or spend the extra and get Sienna Sunburst :D

I think you should spend a year at a monastry learning the ways of the budhist monk, chanting, meditating, and flaggellating yourself with old bass strings whist you consider this heavy dilema.

Once you find your inner self and know that you are at one with nature you will also become one with the stratocaster.

Then you can listen to what your soul suggests what colour guitar you should buy.

...I had a suggestion - but I just can't follow that.

Do that one, it's the best advice money can buy. How much did Ian charge you?

I'm suprisingly cheap.

(What do you make of the Esprit thread I posted, Ceri?)

A sportscar amongst guitars, Ian. Take a peak at your thread: my opinion was, "Buy!".

I like the Sunburst...but go with your instincts. I like the way the Midnight Wine looks as well.

My Strat's black but that's mostly due to the fact that it was the only one AmStd in the store, played like a dream and the owner gave it to me (a long time customer) for $250 less than the then current price. I wasn't about to quibble over the price! The black with maple neck do look pretty sharp.

But on the other hand, one of my Teles, my P-bass and my J-bass are sunburst and I have a couple non-Fenders in sunburst. Overall, I do like sunburst when there's a choice and color (not playability or price) is the only variable.

Color is a personal choice. I would prefer the black of the three colors you listed. :D
