I do not think any of the MIM Strats have the same pups as any MIA Strat.

For the MIM Standard the pups are ceramic (quite good actually), while the MIA Standard has Alnico magnets.

Different, as already stated.

The noticeable difference to me was that the MIM's were just a little noisier starting at mid-level gain. The tone is probably a little different too, but I didn't notice that as much. MIM pickups are good though. If you have one and still don't like the tone, pickups are not too pricey or hard to replace either...

I've played both of them, and the main difference is the noise... MIM strats are quite noisy... I just installed an american standard strat pup on my MIM strat and it has a more clear sound and is really less noisy... Altought, MIM pups are not bad, the sound great at clean setups...

How about Classic Player 50s'? Specs say: 3 American Vintage Strat® Single-Coil Pickups with Staggered, Alnico 5 Magnet Pole Pieces. Aren't these made in USA? Anyway, I recently bought one and it's really cool, to be honest it's less noisy than my Gibson BFG's humbucker.

And the Deluxe Players has Vintage Noiseless - which are USA made.

That's exactly what I did. I put the American pickups on the Mexican, making it my "Mexican - American" strat. And I just customized the American with Seymour Duncans, Lace Sensors, Sperzels, and the works.

MIMs come with different pickups depending upon model. Check the specs.

I seem to be much easier to please than most people regarding pickups, in as much as it is variety that I like. I long ago gave up trying to find my "ultimate" pickup: I want as many different guitars with as many different pickups as possible, to enjoy the vast range of tones that gives. Vive la difference.

All of that said, I somehow just have never been so happy with ceramics as AlNiCos (pedantic typing :) ). Generally a slightly scratchy sound - almost a scratchy feel, actually.

Consequently, I have a couple of spare sets, if you are in my neighborhood...?

:D - C

I've got a MIM strat and a blues deluxe. I do notice a hum from the amp. Do you think it's worth switching to the noiseless pups. Is the difference that noticeable?

MiM Strats use ceramic pickups, MiA Strats use Alcino II pickups. So far, I have totally favored the ceramic pickups more than I have the Alcino II though. 8)
