I have a MIM strat... I replaced the SSS pickguard to a HSS. Installed a Tone Zone DP155 Dimarzio at the bridge and a DP188 ProTrack SC sized humbucker at the neck... The result is just awesome... The pickups complement each other almost perfectly... I think a PAF Pro would work for that AC/DC toe you want, but if you really want that sound, you know what you have to do, he he he...

Hey Stratodave!
I have the same pickups in my 06 Strat! Except I replaced both single coils with DP188's. Now it's my Triple Fat Strat. It totally rocks and the S-1 switching really opens up the tonal possiblities. :D

That's cool, but i like SC at the middle position, may be I'll replace the stock one for a better quality SC. I really like playing clean stuffs with SC.

Thanks a lot for all the advice. I purchased a Seymour Duncan JB pickup and installed it, and I couldn't be happier. The pickup is much more sensitive to induvidual pick strokes than the stock pickups, and the tone is awsome. The tone can clean up beautifully and when it's distored I can get any tone from Disturbed and Iron Maiden, to AC/DC, and Ozzy.

Also, currently I'm playing with:

Crate 212 18W Class A tube amp
Ibenez tube screamer
Dunlop 535Q wah

I know I've already posted, but come to think of it, you could try out a SD "Pearly Gates" humbucker. There are available mods that look like the Strat humbuckers, they look pretty cool. :D
