Beautiful, Beautiful, sweet, sweet, sweet,
I guess I'll have to add that one to the list. I've got an 08 Sienna American Standard. I love that finish although there does seem to be a subtle difference between the Cherry Burst and the Sienna. I've never been a big fan of the VG. Great idea but I'd still rather have seperate guitars; that way I have an excuse to buy another one.........

Yeah, I'm not expecting the S1 switching at this point, although I sure wish it had that. I suppose I can rewire and add that feature. I actually would like to be able to use the bridge and neck pups together as one option, which isn't a standard S1 wiring from what I've read. I also wonder about using a humbucker in the bridge position. So, perhaps I'm better off adding/modifying the wiring anyway.
I'm hoping it has the Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pups at least and the locking tuners. The neck looks like an upgrade with the abalone dots, but I'll have to see what the profile is and how it feels.
And I sure like the looks of the body color and finish in Frantziana's pics.
So, it may be a keeper even without factory S1 wiring.
Stay tuned....

Could anyone clue me in on where i could find more info. about this guitar? Like the specs. etc. Is this maybe a model Fender is planning on making more of in 2009? Maybe someone here knows?

I was under the impression that they were made exclusively for Guitar Center.

Email consumerrelations@fender.com, or go to your nearest GC and speak to the manager.

I'll try to find out from my guy.

Thanks! I asked the salesman at G.C. but he hasn't got back with me yet. I'll try emailing fender.

I put the question to my dealer as well. I do now recollect having put this to Fender when the ad first ran in GC catalog and the sent me a specs print out but nothing on whether this was regular factory or restricted special order.
