Hello there!
I have heard something about the John Mayer Sig. strat!
I've heard that the neck is more thick than other strats?! IS IT TRUE?

Thank you!..

Sometimes you are just soo helpfull Hopkins :P

and yes the John Mayer sig neck is a little thicker than most strat necks definitly thicker than a standard strat!! the mayer neck is based on a 60's neck wich is a little fatter....

Thanks for bring that to my attention bluestube as I've noticed no one replies after my post. I'm just going to set back and read and try to learn. I just can't help myself sometimes when I see a new poster asking a question and having him/her think that no one on this fine forum will help him/her, so I at least welcome him/her until someone with the knowledge comes along and helps! Instead of telling them to do the work them self!! 8)

The JM neck is a chunky C similar to the SRV sig.

It's able to be managed, fits pretty comfortably in your hands. I find it to be just a little bit more comfy than the profile of the SRV neck, a little fuller than the profile of other strat necks. Overall pretty accurate descriptions so far.

what i heard (which meens it may not be true) is that bends are slightly harder because of the neck and it takes some getting used to

Mayercaster,
I think it all depends on the player. I have a 62 reissue strat and a Mayer signature. Although I can feel a difference, it doesn't seem to affect my playing. The mayer neck is actually quite suited for some serious string bending.
