I have a Stratocaster serial number FN20#### and "MADE IN USA" both back on headstock. It's very difficult to get serious additional info.
21 frets and 6 screws bridge, red color. I think early 90's made. Thanks.

heres what fenders page has to say about em

http://www.fender.com/support/usa_instruments.php
Their towards the bottom of the page, made for export dating unclear. Only other option without diclosing the whole serial no' is to remove the neck and have a look for any dating there.

US made guitars and basses destined for the export market. Some may have stayed in the U.S or found their way back (Made to Standard Strat specs, dating unclear)

Thanks.
I know that information, neck says 12/##/1993 (can't read exactly the day), wanna get additional info like body wood and quality, mics type, hardware specs, anything I can get. There are very few data.
Maybe I'll try to phone Fender contact.

Thanks.
I have a question "made to Standard Stratocaster specs" (like Fender web says) means that is like a MIM Standard Stratocaster or like en American Stratocaster?. Consider year-made 1993.
Can anyone answer this question?

seems to me that the body could more than likely be a squire claimed by fender in a time of need and used for export. Despite what many say i think this kind of thing happened more than anyone realizes. Squire bodies if i remember correctly are 5-7mm narrower from top horn across the neck pocket to bottom horn than fender strats.

Realy dont worry about it, like you say it plays and sounds great. Plenty of people dont know as much as they think they do, so screw the self confessed local strat expert who pulled a face at your guitar. A guy local to me has a japanese strat he's been trying to sell for months. Infact he's sold it 3 times only to have it returned by the buyers claiming it to be fake because of its unusual serial no'. I can assure you its not, I've seen the email from fender confirming its authenticity.
