Hi Everyone, I'm Ernie from Hamilton Ontario. I just purchased a 1996 Strat, 50th anniversary....i think.I've always wanted a strat...since i was about 17...i just turned 46.I thought...WHat the hay..i could be dead tomorrow..lol
I posted some pix on PhotoBucket....tell me what u think.
Honesty is appreciated.
Its got a pair of Dimarzio DP100's,
Maple Neck/Rosewood fingerboard,
Satin coated Schaller locking machine head tuners.

I've always been intrigued by these guitars. I've never had a chance to play one, though. They call them HH or Double Fat, but a '96 might be what they called a Big Apple Strat. In any case, congrats and enjoy!!

waw that looks very impressive, let me know if u prefer it to an sg as im a big sg and strat played and i havent found a trat the plays better than my sg

Welcome to the world of Stratocaster. I played Gibson exclusively for a lot of years. Always wanted a Strat and finally took the plunge earlier this year and have a hard time putting it down for a rest. When I do I normally go back to my '67 Firebird III. After all the years of hard work I now have a decent choice of guitars sitting around. I will still add at least one Telecaster to my arsonal.
