Sorry Enrique,
Does not appear legit to me. Fender always used decals on their headstocks. The Script has changed occasionally but to my knowledge Fender never "branded" their name on the headstock. Early Fenders stamped a 5 or 6 digit serial no. on the neck plate. CBS moved it to the front of the headstock under the fender decal. Later they were moved to the back of the headstock on MIA and MIM Strats. Japanese Strats put theirs at the base of the neck in the back. But like Ceri said if it plays well........

sorry for all the questions but, I have noticed its a bit on the heavy side, so if it were a squier that someone put the fender usa logo on, I think it would have to be lighter right? it weights more than my MIM strat, I'd like to find out what's the deal on that guitar hehe

Just go to a pawn shop and tell them lies.... Say you got it for $3500.00 and they will give you like a lot of money (just joking!!!! ).

You'd never get away with something like that at my local pawn shop. These guys know the value of everything.

1954 to 1965 the Serial# on neck plate the last couple years started with a (L) then 65 to 76 had the big F and serial# on the neck plate doing 1976 they started putting the serial numbers on peg head. The dacals on the peg head have changed a few times but I dont remember any that were burned in.

I will try to do that today, but did fender ever burnt their logos in the headstock like this guitar?

No, Fender never burned or stamped their logo or any other info into thier guitars.

You've got a "Sortacaster" on your hands bro. It sorta looks like a Strat, but it isn't. Someone built it out of parts and tried to make it look legit. That doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. Just not a Fender Stratocaster.

That's the most unique Fender Strat I have ever seen!

The missing skunk stripe supports that, too (though of course there were legit Fenders in the '60s with no skunk stripe).

True, the '60's Fender rosewood fingerboard strats had no skunk stripe, but their truss rod adjustment was at the heel of the neck, not at the headstock. They came out with maple fingerboard necks built the same way, but with a board of maple instead of rosewood, so the necks were two pieces of maple.
