Imagine how bad eric clapton, EVH and ritchie blackmore must be. Non of them guys play no frills guitars. The clapton strat is mod laden, the blackmore scalloped edges must mean he can hardly play baa baa black sheep on a 'real' strat. God knows how bad EVH must be, the frankenstrat and them musicman guitars were nothing like a real strat. Eric Johnson and John Mayer must be really terrible having to have pickups specialy made for them.

Hjroot, dont worry mate. Were in good company guitar wise if improvements make you a worse player.

now your becoming annoying. you need to let this thread

I'm becoming annoying. I've extended the olive branch to you so many times its unreal. Jesus would be proud. Everytime i post something that doesnt glorify the highway one you berate me as a useless player or a know nothing or being inexperienced. I've supplied ample evidence to discount all points that i've politely stated, especialy considering the manner in which i've been treated by you.
You on the other hand offer not even one link to your previous band, which you claim to have earnt enough money from to retire. You wont even disclose the band name, instead you come up with vague stories of the singers cat doing something horrible on the website.

Mate your getting old and incoherent. I certainly dont need guitar advice from someone who claims everything yet proves nothing. Does your back catalogue not sell at all? Of all the old acts that music producers constantly push down the publics throat and rehash over and over again, yours back catalogue doesnt suffer such treatment? You wish for no more royalty cheques?

Doesnt ring true to me.

Fender's website says it is a no frills guitar, but it also states "with a few years of mods and player refinements built in" That says to me it's not as "no frills" as they claim.

If it was as real "no frills" guitar you wouldn't need hot pickups, RW/RP middle pickup, greasebucket circuitry, contoured body, tremolo bridge, or ping tuners.

Oh and I don't find Nikinija annoying at all. He seems to be a pretty stand up fellow.

Oh my god!!!!! Are you the other guitar player from Aerosmith!!! Or are you that guy from Cheap Trick, or was it Iron Maiden, or you must be that guy from Metallica. Hey everybody we have an extremly famous musician in our midst. Let's all try to guess what band strat2004 was in. Music has been really good to him, so we have to find out what band he was in.

Strat2004, this is a really great game you've come up with. "Guess the Band" as hosted by Strat2004. I think we can figure this one out, because an extremly successful band doesn't go away without leaving a trace. Lets all put our minds together and maybe we can win a prize!!!! Yeah!!!!

On the contrary. I think this would be a really fun game. Obviously you can't play along because you have all the answers. I try to think of a fun game you can participate in so that you don't feel left out. Is that ok champ??

There is truth in the fact that Fender's website says "with a few years of mods and player refinements built in" that is fact because it's on this very website. There is also truth in all of the "mods & player refinements" i listed because it is on the spec sheet for he Hwy 1. Everything I wrote can be backed up by this very site.

Oh...the world is spelled sense, not sence.

Actualy i played about 3 dates in the USA the crash bar in clifton (i think, a bit hazy), rebellion festival in california (courtesy of promoter darren russel, a friend of a friend) and some place in portland, a diy gig by the locals punks. The size of your county means nothing to me and as you should know is irrelevant to the gigging musician.
