it realy doesnt matter i have mine and more than just one.

I need to track one down in Daphne blue.

I have an older Am Std. and I don't like the new ones close to as much.

The only thing I don't like on the HW1's, and the reason I haven't gotten one yet, is I don't like the jumbo frets. i am sure i just need to play on em to get used to em, and if I don't,editted in here, cus if I left the 'T' at the end of don't with nothing between here and the word 'IT' the filter combines em and thinks I am using a dirty word, it's not like I haven't ever refretted a guitar before.

i have a 2007 Daphne blue. the Daphne color was discontinued
back in january 2008. good luck finding one.
I had gone a long time only buying strings, without buying a guitar, so by the time I found out the HW1 series even existed the Daphne was out of production.Recently, one turned up at a local shop a while ago, but by the time I talked myself into buying it it was gone. same with a Korean Lite Ash Strat, i guess I need to be quicker on the trigger.

CV your 100% correct mate. Which was the 70's style strat they took off the product list a couple of months back?
Now a 70's roadworn would be the icing on the cake wouldnt it. 70's style guitars are obviously big sellers.

Yes back when they came out with the Roadworn guitar I questioned why they did not have the 70's to complete the line because to me it seems incomplete without the 70's version. I always thought in would come out after the Hwy was gone but I am just guessing by looking at how sales and the marketing have been going. I thought the Hwy was going to be gone at the begining of the year and since then it seems most sales are going through internet purchases and many of the retail locations have had limited numbers if any of them in store. I am just looking at it from a bussiness stand point and guessing, who knows!

I didnt mean the roadworn should replace the highway one. I meant that a 70's style roadworn would be a good idea given the popularity of 70's guitars. Even a roadworn tele custom to even the strat to tele balance too.

understood

nothing sounds like the highway one its a straight up
balls to the wall strat the way a strat should be.
i'm very lucky to have a few and i'm shure the will
become a classic sooner than you think.

No matter what anyone says or thinks. In business it all comes down to sales numbers as to when a model is dicontinued. Sell good you keep making and selling. Low sales you discontiue and put your efforts into one that sells. Like any product it does not matter if some think its great, its how many think it is great and are willing to buy so that a company can make a profit. Thats all it comes down to dog eat dog the strong survive!

CV you can bet the squire plant is twice the size of the corona plant then eh? They must knock out more guitars than anyone the way they sell. Suppose thats why its been in the product range since moses was playing kick the can.

Squiers are Made in China, Indonesia and even some of the Vintage Modifieds come from India.

Yea I remember when it came out in the summer of 2002 and I don't think there was a HSS version for even another year so it had a nice 7 year run. In fact I think they were summer NAMM introductions.

I always thought the Highway one is the nos version of the roadworn with similiar thin nitro and thin paint makes it way easy to relic it new.
