I do know that the composition of the vast majority of the originals from the 70s are now, aged Fromunda Cheese.

Hmmm..that might explain why like certain cheeses and wines..they do seem to get better with age. Good point.

Well I can tell ya one thing I have a Mexican 70's reissue Strat and their not as cheap as the Standard Mexican Strats are. The Mexican made regular Mexican Strats have Ceramic type pickups whereas when your buying a Mexican 70's reissue there about a $734.00 Strat & they'll still have the original Alnico pickups and have to conform to the originality and standards of the 70's style Stratocaster so your paying more than the regular 399.00 price (MIM) Standerd Strat, so it's like an in between guitar really. Really good Mexican even very close to Americanl A high value Mexican!

I feel all the Mexican Strats are a really good value, Standard or reissue models. But what exactly is an "American made regular Mexican strat"? If a Strat is made in America at what point is it considered a Mexican Strat?

i really wouldn't now that much difference. I mean paying 999.00 fo
American and just 399.00 for a Mexican Standard you'd might see a differance such as the Mexican ceramic pickups as compared to the U
SA Alnico pickups but when you pay a little more for a Mexican reissue
Strat like the one I have it still has the higher quality Alinico pickups and still has to be authentic with the original 70's Strat whether American or not, so I think your paying up near the American. After all authentic is authentic and if it's a reissure they can't really be cheap on it or be false negative on anything like that. That's why these Mexicans cost more money that just the $399.00 Strats. Their higher quality!

I understand. However my question was based on a typo you made..I see you edited it. So we can assume an American made Strat is not made in Mexico now..
