This is a slghtly odd question

The USA one is the most expensive and accepted as the best build quality.

The Road house strat is very high quality, not as expensive as the USA, but has some pretty cool retro features.

The light ash has the perk of being made from ash, and has seymour duncan pick ups.
Can't really vouch for the quality of the Light ash....

In the world of Fender it's safe to say that you get what you pay for.

these are 3 very different strats!
I would go with the one with the features that appeal to you.

but if you can afford a USA, but like the retro features of the road house, why not check out american vintage??????
(There is more than one type of road house and i havemade the assumption that you are refering to the 3 single coil version).

watch out for forum monkies telling you all kinds of fictitious nonsense.

Personally I went through all those same questions and more when I decided to go Fender. I was lucky enough to get the American Standard that set me on the mission to go Fender so I really didn't have to make a real decision in the end. So my two cents says Am. Std. Good Luck

The American Standard

Fit and finish on the MIM's is almost as nice
Electronics on the US guitars are superior to the Mexican and Korean Instruments

All great, and all different.

Is a very top-notch basic strat with the respective price tag the best for you? Or would rather have something a little less in quality, fit and finish, but still good and save money?

That answer is different for everyone.

For me, I play a MIM (own one actually) or another non-american and I think "Very nice guitar, I like it".

I play an american and I think "wow, love it. the neck feels so nice to me, the tone is just perfect, etc - just a little more so than non-americans. I can appreciate all those little things that may not matter to other people. They're all good though, and you can't go wrong with any of them (but don't get a squier).

I'm a Forum monkey for sure. Still, I'm interested to know which fictitious nonsense you have in mind in particular...?

Anyway. American Standard, obviously. But I have plenty of time for those Lite Ashes too, 'specially if you can find one with a nice piece of birdseye on the neck.

Good luck - C

It's a matter of choice. Play all three and see what YOU like. I've played the MIA's and the MIM Roadhouse's in the store. They are both nice...personally I would buy the MIA Standard, but thats not to say I would't have the Roadhouse in my collection some day.
