The next thing I'll buy will be another Squier Strat which I'm going to make HH Strat. And maybe I'll put a floyd rose. 8)

Probably a Squire Tele (or used Fender Tele) for slide work. I never got into it when I was actively playing in the 60s/70s, but I've decided to give it another shot.

From what I've been reading, a good setup for slide is to have the strings medium high (if you're also going to fret with your fingers) and to use heavier strings. One page I was reading suggested 12s for pure slide work, though he said he uses 10s because he also does a lot of fret work.

In any event, I have a very light touch so I generally use 10s but with the action set very low. Thus the new Tele would be set up to be fairly optimal just for slide, but without having to spend a ton of money.
