Does anyone know what colors were available in 1989? This was not a vintage series and it is American made. Serial starts with E9

The strat looks white but could also be vintage white with a red pearloid pickguard. Pickguard looks like it has a red/black/yellow in it. Can anyone find pictures or know if it came in this color in '89? Just want to make sure everything is original.

The cataloge says American Standard availiable in Artic White, Black, Brown Sunburst, Caribbean Mist, Lipstick red, Midnight blue and Midnight Wine. (1989) The E serial numbers were used through the 80's E9's were on 89's and some 90's when they started the N prefix in 90.

Wow that is weird. Mine doesn't look like an artic white unless of course the white aged over time

I know the pickguard is custom since they didn't start using colors besides white on standards until the mid 90's.

Anything else look non-original

Ya the new ones you see they are Olympic White there a much brighter white. I always thought the color you have is like a cross between the Olympic and Vintage White because it has that aged look to it that many like.
