It sounds like you want a single ply, black Fender pickguard. Now you just need to find out the hole pattern (and how many?).

From Fender? Probably. I just bought a plain all black 3-play last year for mine. I think I got it from allparts or something. Google strat pickguards and you'll find tons of them online. You can also check ebay for people selling brand new ones.

I solved your issue very easily.

I bought a Fender 11 hole Black/White/Black. But you can get any size you like.

1.) Leave the protective plastic that comes on the front of the pickguard. 2.) I took a fat Sharpie and outlined all of the edges , and areas where the pups are. leave the screw holes and switch area alone as the screws will cover the holes and you don't notice where the switch is.
3.) Let it dry and repeat the process a couple of times. I did it about a half a dozen times. When you are doing the outside edges, try to do from one edge to the other, otherwise you will see where you stopped.
4.) When you are satisfied with the job and it is dry, wipe the edge with a DRY paper towel, but don't rub too hard, just a light buff. If you mess up, use a little rubbing alcohol, and repeat from step 1. But oce it is dry, and wiped, it will not come off.
5.) Remove the plastic cover off the pickguard
6.) Install it
7.) You are done, let that sucker blast!!

But if you are going to go the single ply route, don't forget to shield it. Fender does not shield the 1 plys for some strange reason.

Hi Seamus: I don't know about music equipment suppliers in Portugal, I'm afraid, though for sure they exist. But if you are having difficulty finding a one-ply black pickguard then a good supplier in Europe is WD Music in the UK. Pickguards are one of their specialities:

www.wdmusic.co.uk

They will even custom make a pickguard for you if necessary: but one-ply black is standard stock. Be sure to check the number of screw holes. Happy shopping!

Cheers - C
