I've got a really bad case of G.A.S. and I've gone color crazy. Does anyone know of a database that lists the colors and years that MIA's were manufactured? I'm looking for 3 particular colors chrome blue, graffiti yellow, and candy green. thanks for your help.

I don't know of a site that lists the colors and their respective years, but I own a chrome blue MIA and it was manufactured in 2004. I have not seen very many of them in that color.

Thanks Randy,

I know Fender will make certain colors for a few years then change. Some colors they bring back because of popularity. There will always be a black, olympic white, and sunburst in the mix because they sell more of those than any other. I found a chrome blue for sale with a Z1 serial which makes it either an 01 or 02 model year. If yours is an 04 that makes it a 3 or 4 year run and I 'm not too sure about that. Doesn't sound right, thats why I'm looking for a database that could verify the years they were made.

The only graffiti Yellow I remeber was in the power house strat, it was a MIM standard with active electronics.

the last time I saw one in a store was around 2003 or earlier.

I am not sure they made a USA strat in that color.

I read the article F... and I'm familiar with Stratcollector.com. Thanks for the info. I just wish Fender made their old catalogs available online. Oh well I'll just have to browse thru some of the old ones at my local music store. Thanks again.
