Teal Green Transparent! Easily the best color IMO.

A Sienna Sunburst would be a cool project too.

My first Strat was beautiful, it was " Midnight Blue/Purple" that's what it was listed as. I swear the guitar changed colour with mood, anyone who saw her remarked on the colour.

I'm more into wood finishes that solid paint color. Myself, I'd rather strip the paint and do a vintage stain, or have a vintage tobacco burst put on it.

For solid colors, I like the vintage white (looks like an old, yellowed white) mixed with black or tortoise shell.

Some other solid colors I've liked...

- dark red/puple, almost like a red wine color, with a white pearl pickguard
- burnt orange with a cream pickguard
- gun metal blue with a chrome treadplate pickguard
- cream with a copper pickguard
- mustard yellow with a black pickguard
- gold metal flake with a cream pickguard

That's such a personal question. You'll get tons of answers.

I love the Sienna Sunburst color, I like all the natural wood "look" guitars, and I like the Chrome Silver.

If you are planning to paint a Strat and have never done it before then start with solid colors. You need to learn how to spray evenly, how to clearcoat, and how to rub and buff a finish; before you start struggling with tricky things like wood stains for transparent finishes.

Solids first, sunbursts and other semi-transparent finishes later. Metallic, flake and other fancy paint jobs way down the line.

Cheers - C
