Just a little curious about blasphemy! Who has turned thier strat to a double humbucker configuration or has the big apple strat. What do you think about it? Any regrets? Post pics if you got them!

I'm one of those purists. A strat is a 3 single coil pickup guitar.

i have a strat shaped guitar by another maker with that configuration. It took me awhile to find one. squier had a double fat strat that i almost bought then they took it out so I could not buy one. :( Luckly I went to a shop and I found a double strat shaped guitar by another maker. i tried it out and it was the sound i was looking for. The price was a little over 100 bucks sealed the deal. :D

What kind of music do you play with it?

How does the sound differ from, say, a Les Paul or SG or Flying V?

Hiya! Total Blasphemer here, I bought an 06 HSS American Standard Strat and changed out the bridge hummer for a Dimarzio Tone Zone then changed out the single coils for Dimarzio Pro Track rail humbuckers. Woo Hoo TRIPLE FAT Strat!

That being said, I do have one that is bone stock also. This way I get the best of both worlds.

I'll be converting my new MIM Stratocaster SSS to HH. So far, I've got the pickguard (Big Apple HH, 1 volume, 1 tone cuts), and will be buying 2 Fender Atomic Humbucker pickups and two 500K pots, fairly soon. I already have a MIM Stratocaster SSS (1996), so I'm not going to feel bad about converting the new one to HH.

Matt
