If you have a MIA deluxe strat you have locking tuners. On the back of your tuner you have a thumb screw you use to lock or unlock strings :)

Oh I forgot, Welcome to the forum! 8) Don't take this the wrong way but you need to take a few min. and read your manual, if you don't have one you can download one on this site! Good luck!!

Don't mean to be a smart@ss, but make sure you know what string guage you started out with before you assume you are going down in guage. It doesn't sound like you put strings on before.

The default string set from the factory is 9-42. The D stiring should be an .024. FYI

If it's an MIA Deluxe Series Strat then yes it does have locking tuners. My old saying is that if you want something done, you friggin' do it hard@ss!

By the way, replace the hole set of strings and get something like .10 gauge. Anything lower and you are always replacing strings. Consult your owners manual or download it at the Fender.com website and go under support.
