Yeah bro I own one and plan on getting some more. It kind of depends on what style of music that you play though. If you're a country dude, then I'd advise against it. It's geared more towards hard rock and metal. It's made in Mexico and there's only 831 of them around. I modded mine with a Seymour Duncan Distortion and it fits my style just fine. Just check out my page and you'll see that every little idea I just threw up was recorded with that axe. Like I said, it's definetly not for the country folk no matter what pickup you put into it as a result of the alder body/maple neck/fretboard combo with a single humbucker and no tone control, but I love it just the same because it's right up my alley.

I believe that only about 830 were made. Flat black finish alder body, maple neck with 21 medium jumbo frets, 9.5" radius, 25.5" scale length, 1.650" nut width, single black un-covered Atomic humbucking pickup, black plastic master volume control, 3-ply parchment/black/parchment pickguard, vintage style synchronized tremolo with chrome hardware. Made in Mexico.

I have one of 'em, as well. Bought it a couple of months back, the last one Ballew's had, and I'm glad that I found it 'cause I'd been planning to modify a Standard Stratocaster HSS into something similar. I would've used a 'bucker-sized P90 pickup, along with a tone control and Esquire-style wiring/switching, but oh well what do I know? My FSR Straight Six Stratocaster is just fine the way it is, and I'm not gonna gripe about no tone control when the guitar can flat out rock.

Everything the other posters said about the Straight Six is true. I've had mine almost a week now and I just love it. I have been a Strat man since the early seventies and My main influences have always been Clapton, Kossoff, Leslie West and Ritchie Blackmore. I could never get the tone I wanted and then Eddie Van Halen came along. Thats when I saw what I'd been looking for! So I have been playing modified Strats ever since the late 70's. But my fave Strats have always been hardtails. I just blocked the trem on mine and let me tell you the playability on this baby and the sustain is superb! Although I wish it came in a hard tail version it's still perfect for me. And to me this is Fenders version of a LP Jr. style Strat. So as the other posters said there are only 831 of them made and I'm sure there are a lot less available now, so if you do want one better get it now. Happy Rockin!!!
