I would appreciate any information I can get, on this guitar. Where manufactured, any pros and cons, I would appreciate owners comments. I am seriously considering buying one I have read the specs. How well do they play? Do they setup well? Anything you have.

great guitar for what it is. strats are so different, you'll need to play it and make sure you love how it feels and sounds to you though. otherwise the "great deal" part of it won't matter.

I ordered one. Fender had the Crimson Red in stock , and will ship it soon to my favorite dealer. I can`t wait to try it out. Shouldn`t be too long of a wait. I`ll keep you posted on the results.

Nice score, is the finish transparent?

Yes, the finish is transparent. I`ve heard that they use the best pieces of wood for transparent. I have to wait and see. I don`t have to buy it if it`s not right. Mom & pop store ya know.

My local Guitar Center (Scottsdale, AZ) had two Deluxe Players Strats deeply discounted to $460 when I was there last week. Resistance was futile and I traded a MIM Standard Strat for one yesterday. I got the transparent red and the finish is immaculate. I was planning to have a set of Fender's Vintage Noiseless pickups installed in the guitar I traded in so this ended up being a very nice finish and hardware upgrade, too.

Good going, olman222! I hope you're as happy with your Deluxe Player's Strat as I am with mine.

This is my third Mexican Deluxe Strat (Lone Star & Classic Series 50s are the others) and it has quickly become my favorite. The Vintage Noiseless pickups and a 1965 Deluxe Reverb Reissue amp are a match made in aural heaven. The clean, pure tone has spoiled me to the point where I'm thinking about adding SCN or Vintage Noiseless pickups to my other Fenders. They're that good.

Oh Yeah. This is a great guitar. Tone I`ve been looking for for a long, long time. The crimson red is just beautiful on this. I can`t find a seam anywhere, where it may have been glued together. Picture perfect finish, and a very nice grain shows through. Set up not bad, but I can do better.I`ve spent countless dollars on the other big name, hotrodded and nmodified beyond belief. I should have looked at Strats a long time ago. I am at this point a convert. The pickups are incredible. Some say not as loud as regular strat pickups. Hey, that give me a better opportunity to crank my amp up a notch or two, and really drive the tubes, I couldn`t be happier. I`ll post pics as soon as I get it cleaned to my satisfaction, and can find where my wife put the camera, and figure out photo bucket. Did I say I love it, and I am a convert?

Mine didn't need much setup. I switched to heavier gauge strings (Ernie Ball Regular Slinkys) which affected the angle of the bridge, so I added 2 more tremolo springs. Done!

I love the push button pickup switch. Push the button down when the neck pickup is selected and it's classic Telecaster middle position time, only much quieter with the Vintage Noiseless pickups. How cool is that?

John, I can`t put this guitar down long enough to tweak the setup. This entire guitar is amazing. It`s as good or better than all the other fenders i tried out. When you pick a chord, the whole body vibrates. WOW!!! I love theb noiseless pickups.

I know what you mean. I haven't touched another guitar since I bought the Deluxe Player's 10 days ago.

The Lone Star and Roadhouse get the advertising push but I'd choose the Deluxe Player's over both of them because of the Vintage Noiseless pickups.

Its' MIM. I own one and I like it. Good value for the $$$. Nice pickups and I love the 12" neck radius. Multi-piece ash body too... sweet! Really nice vintage tuners on this baby too. I guess there is nothing not to like about it. Consider Deluxe Powerhouse too.
