I own a MIM Strat and a cheap SG. Love 'em both for different reasons and I'm looking forward to using them both when we record our EP late November.

I couldn't disagree more with you guys who think the SG is ugly. It's got HORNS dammit! I'd pick a HC '61 reissue SG over a Les Paul any day. I think LPs are kinda boring. Seems like everyone's pining for a Les Paul and the LP sound. To me it has a chunky square-ish body and therefore it's slightly uncomfortable to play. And forget playing one without strap locks! That's just poor design. Again, that's my opinion...

...And on a different note Hagstrom guitars have the coolest headstock of all guitars. The shape! The Fleur-de-lis!

I say Strat AND SG. Sorry guys :)
