The relic version Jaguar? Does that mean it has rust and has electrical problems?

Hahaha! The only problem we had with our (four wheeled) Jag over six years is that if you don't set the air conditioning correctly the windshield has a tendancy to get misty. We mentioned it to a service engineer who replied that, yes, that is a well-known issue with Jaguars. He had a note of pride in his voice, like it was a point of rare distinction...

An integral part of most classic Jag electrical systems. I know... I've spent countless hours working on my father's 1970 E-type.

Paul Rodgers didn't think so

Oh. My. God.

We knew about the Jaguar guitar in Alain's collection. But the companion amp as well...

...I have a 1980s Squier Strat to sell. Interested?

Alain,
aside from making me the utter incarnation of envy with your guitar collection, you now choose to inflame my desires further with a jag marshall. [Edited due to stupidity of original content]

On the pickguard from seeing it close up i'd have to say its either, No pickguard at all and infact a part of the bodywood. Or a two piece with a veneer over the screws.

Hi Nikininja,

The Amp is from 2002 (40 years after the release of the original Bluesbreaker)
Marshall Company proposed a Lucky Draw among the potential buyers ready to pay a fixed price.
There were many, really many notwithstanding the exhorbitant price of that amp.
30 have been lucky to have the chance to get one.
They never surface on the market nor on Ebay.

BTW the Strat/ Jag pickguard and backplate are held with clips, just like on Jaguar XJ 12 dashboards.

Later I'll tell you the genesis of that guitar
Alain

now thats a lesson worth paying for, the genesis of a masterpiece

If i remember right those clips are prone to break without the correct seperation tool and the backplate doesnt have stringholes. I re-string roughly every two weeks. That would lead to a disaster under my ownership.

Perhaps Paul Roger's guitar tech has some practical suggestions for you, not that you're ready to go $30K for a stage instrument. Very courageous on his part.

I would be that most of the new Gilmour owners will likely feel the same reservation about taking that one on the road.
