I had a MIM Tele that I customized. I just didn't bond with it.

yeah im cautious thats why im interested in the baja's. All ive played for the last 20 years is superstrats and strats that ive mucked about with someway. I'm scarred of getting bored with just 3 settings.

I put a 4-way switch on my Telecaster (1-Both PUs in Series, 2-Neck PU only, 3-Both PUs in parallel, 4-Bridge only) and a Fender no-load tone potentiometer (takes the tone pot out of the circuitry when opened up all the way).

If I figured this right, I've got 896 tone combinations (but math never was my strong point  ).

I also replaced the neck pickup with a MightyMite P90...sounds like a million pesos--fat, dirty, funky and punchy!

A Jim Root Tele or a Dean Cadillac. I'm actually leaning toward the Dean because I already have a Tele and 2 Strats.

:D Just bought a 2005 American Deluxe HSS today in pearlescent white! I will take delivery on Thursday and seeing as it will be sharing space with a Gibson SG (signed by Jack Black) and a Hohner Resonator acoustic slide, I won't be buying anymore guitars I reckon...ever! :D

just bought a 62 jazzmaster reissue mia sea green last week, one of those guitars you just can't pass up. So I don't even want to think about the next one until after I finish my Christmas shopping. 8) [/url]

I can't decide between the mustang reissue or the highway one strat SSS. I already have an american strat, but need a backup...and the mustang offers different tones/tremelo that i love.

My next guitar will be a custom built Telecaster. Warmouth body and neck; P90 pickups, Strat vintage 6-hole tremolo. If I go with the P90s like in Fender's TC-90/JA-90 guitars, it'll sound like one of those, but with the ability to wiggle the tones.

I'd go for a real vintage strat or Les paul .... if I cant afford it, I think I'll head towards a PRS, or a Custom shop 69, or a really kinky warmoth hopefully soon.....

Probably an electified resonator of some sort--

I love the SB MacDonald Resonator Electric best...

    http://www.customguitars.com/resolec.htm

...but there's a really cool luthier named Peter Moles from Tasmania, and his axes (the "Molonators") are spectacularly funky.

    http://www.molonatorguitars.com

But for easy to find availability, I might go for a National Resolectric...

    http://www.nationalguitars.com/instrume ... ctric.html

...but I gotta get the scratch built up before this will happen.

In the words of a very wise man, "My wife said she would leave me if I brought home one more guitar...I sure am gonna miss that girl."

Probably a Buddy Guy sig. I like the sound and my wife likes polka dots. See, if I pick a good guitar that she thinks is "cute" my chances of not getting b****ed out is greatly reduced.

Up next will be a Squire Classic vibe 50's or 60's Strat. Not decided on which one yet.
