My next Fender will be the Fender Strat (MIM) HSS with the Floyd Rose Trem. I like dive bombing now and then and can't do with my current Fender w/o having to re-tune (guess that's why I kept the ESP). I 've only looked at the MIM HSS, haven't played one yet to see what they sound like or how good the tremelo is. If they play & sound good, I'll ditch the ESP and have 2 Strats. I love my current Strat and I am not looking to modifying at all.

Ah to dream, perchance to sleep. I have some "needs" in the bass department. I'm thinking HWY1 Jazz Bass, Mustang Bass, Epiphone Thunderbird, or Epiphone Viola Bass. Guitar wise I'm thinking 72 thinline reissue, but I want one with rosewood fretboard and large headstock. I really like the J5 tele although it's obscenely heavy. I'd like to buy a newer MIM strat to relic and hotrod. I really like the new Ibanez montage, but the neck will take some getting use to.

I think I may need to ride a bike to work and eat more Ramen noodles.

My last guitar was a Strat. My next guitar, arriving shortly, is a Strat. The one after that is already in the pipeline and that is... a Strat.

Honestly, I do like other guitars as well...!

I have a few guitars on my wish list. The more immediate ones are a pair of the MIK Showmaster SSS models. I'm looking at those to change pups and some hardware to make my new arsenal of performing guitars complete.
After that, I'm either getting a Robin Trower Signature model, or I may end up going to the Highway One and modding that to suit my taste.

Yeah! A Showmaster would be a good addition to my arsenal too.

Besides a Gibson Les Paul Studio... I have had thoughts of an Ibanez Satrianin signature and Steve Vai Signature... :D:D

Honestly, you may find the craftsmanship suprisingly good with the construction, however, IMHO, I feel the hardware and electronics leaves much to be desired. Especially the locking tuners it comes with. If you look at my Introductory Thread where I've posted pics of both my Showmaster guitars, you'll notice on the brown QBT model that I have replaced some of the hardware in an attempt to stabilize the tuning. I'm still having problems with it when I use the tremolo. The Standard style bridge may get upgraded with stamped saddles, or it may be replaced entirely with a Floyd Rose locking system.
Overall, the guitar feels comfortable in my hands, and the 24 frets is a nice novelty with the 25.5" scale length and access to the frets is a breeze with the set-neck heel. It balances well when you have it strapped on.
Oh yes, I also had to replace the original Seymour Duncans with DiMarzio Air Buckers (Air Norton, Air Zone) to help fatten up the guitar's tone.

I'd be happy to let you know of everything I've found out about these guitars. If you'd like more info, drop me a line, I'm glad to share anything I've learned with anyone.

for my second wish guitar, i am thinking of either a squier tele, *squier deluxe strat,* or an epiphone g-400. * special note to the strat :)

Unless the economy gets better and we all magically get money, then maybe an mim standard (maybe off ebay for a lower price :) )

Not so much a new guitar as much as a new pickup. And even then I'm kind of shifty about that.
