Greetings strat players!
I'm pretty new to the forum so thanks. I am wondering about those 2 bolt bridge/saddles that come on the american
standard and other models. 1st of all i've had a tough time with mine . Couldn't achieve a good intonation on those saddles so i got some graph techs and am somewhat pleased. Has anybody else had the same great fortune on those newer saddles also. But on my other strats with the 6 screw vintage saddles no problem at all.

Welcome to the forum.

hehe, one more for the 6-hole vintage

Some people swear by those stringsavers, I personally don't like them. Back when I was starting out and didn't know any better, I was suckered into buying some. The guy (who was a guitar tech) stooped so low as to say that these would cut down on string breakage by about 90%. So I gave in and I got the tusq versions from Allparts. I made a big mistake, I was breaking more strings with these than I was with my other saddles. They also made my guitar sound alittle dead.

SOB wouldn't even give me my money back. I paid $45 bucks for 6 pieces of plastic. I put my old ones back on and was happy again. I did use the springs off the stringsavers when one of mine broke, huh, that was the only thing about them that was worth a crap. Although I can't comment on the metal versions. I don't intend on trying them anyway.
