It's a sad world when one must apologize for a bit of intellect (not that that is what Ceri was doing).

You're right, I wasn't apologising! :D

But I was engaging in a little light self-mockery, as to say; "I know what I'm like, but what can I do?" :D :D

Shows like Family Guy and The Simpsons spend vastly more energy mocking their own culture than anyone elses. It would be a thin skin (how topical) indeed that minded.

But while we're on stereotypes of my country I'd like to mention that as a matter of fact my dentistry is perfectly up to scratch, thank you...

...Though we do have a fair amount of rain, and we definitely drink a lot of tea with milk! Oh dear...

Good luck at the dentist! After all, a serious guitarist has to keep his chops in shape.

BTW: I wonder if the OP feels his question has been answered. Or perhaps he has by now crawled into a dark corner to whimper to himself...

Cheers - C

That is a cool looking finish. Talk about having a one off guitar finish no two will ever be alike being dipped like that.

If you like this bowling ball finish - which I certainly do - then there is a tutorial here:
http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/swirled.htm

And to return to the original topic:
I borrowed a compressor and bought a cheap paint gun, then I clearcoated my project with cellulosa (10 layers - but it dries quickly) and buffed it with a special polish of the same brand. And for the first time I was happy with the result. I will never even consider anything else than cellulosa (nitro).

BTW, a small compressor comes cheap these days.
