Check out Stewart MacDonald's site and learn to do it yourself. I used their E-Megaswitch for some custom wiring a couple of times.

Hey Mike: that's interesting - what did you do with the Megaswitch? Was that to get bridge-and-neck on position three on an SSS Strat, by any chance?

Cheers - C

That's right, I wired it as :

1. bridge
2. bridge+mid
3. brige+neck parallel
4. neck + mid
5. neck

I'm in the Seattle area but will ship out the guitar and/or pickups with the pick guard.

I've heard good things about Bare Knuckle Pickups. Are you saying that they will do custom wiring jobs in addition to selling pickups? Thx

Seatle to birmingham uk is going to cost a pretty penny in shipping. Couple that with the price of a custom wiring job and the current sterling/dollar exchange rate, you'd be better off sourcing a fellow countryman to do the job. There must be plenty of em, you blokes invented the electric guitar. :)

I agree I'd rather not ship overseas except as last resort.

Anyone recommend someone state-side, preferably West Coast?

I believe I could do it myself but don't desire to. Would like to hire someone to do the work. And by someone I mean who has had a bunch of experience doing this professionally and has a good reputation for doing this kind of work. Thanks

What kind of wiring modification are you after?

Of course, I didn't know where you are when I posted that. But as it happens, Bare Knuckle Pickups are available Stateside too. I love them, though they're pretty expensive at home and I presume eyewateringly costly by the time they arrive overseas. You have so many fine pickup makers in the States you'd need a pretty good reason to look elsewhere.

On the custom wiring: Bare Knuckle have lately started making their pups available to order in prewired pickguards in a reasonable range of the fundamental colors. Not cheap, but very slightly cheaper than buying the component parts. So happens, I have a project in hand and will be posting a picture of one of those 'guards in a couple of weeks. It is a neat job.

Bare Knuckle are a custom company. They will build pickups to your precise requirements, and now they will prewire pickguards any way you choose, too.

But of course, there's lots of folks that will do that in North America, too.

Cheers - C
