I've only seen the 2 pickup models of the Strat-o-sonic, but I've heard that there was a model DV-1 that was a single humbucker. Not sure if a genuine P-90. :?:

Lightweight, 5-chambered mahogany body, modern C-shaped maple neck with 9-1/2"-radius rosewood fretboard and 22 medium-jumbo frets.

A long while back we were discussing Pete Townshend's Strats, and someone said they'd seen him playing a Strat with two P-90s. Eventually someone found a photo, and then someone else identified the guitar as a Stratosonic from around the turn of the century, if I'm remembering rightly.

If you wanted to find that thread search for one concerning the extra knob on Townshend's Strats...

Cheers - C
