I bought this for about.. 1360 euros. It's a fender stratocaster with texas special pickups, rosewood neck I assume since its dark:P And goldenshore finish with shiny flickery scratchplate "I forgot the name" The number is

N7244757

Please tell me what Model this is?!

The s/n indicates :

Your guitar was made at the
Corona Plant (Fender), USA
in the Year(s): 1997 - 1998.

I'm guessing that since it's around ten years old that the pickups and cosmetics might have been added by the previous owner(s)?

Er - wot? Mike says the s/n makes it a 1997-98 MIA... With the best will in the world, we can't call that new.

When I first saw this thread yesterday I took a little tour round the Deluxe section of the Strat products pages on this site. What you have sounds quite like a Roadhouse Strat - except for your gold hardware and rosewood fingerboard. It also sounds quite like a Deluxe Player's Strat - except for your pickups. Also, both of those guitars are made in the Mexican factory.

So if it's a '90s MIA, it ain't one of those. Are you sure you have the serial number right?

Anyway, I'm presuming the "shiny flickery" pickguard is pearloid or tortoiseshell, is it? A step forwards...

Cheers - C

It sounds like you have a USA Road House that was made in ~1997.

It was New Old Stock. Good find. Have fun with it.
