I currently have a mim classic player 60's reissue strat ... but i have been looking at selling it to purchase a usa highway one sss strat ... my question is this : which guitar is a better guitar ... im told usa are better guitars but this mexi is more expensive than the highway one (mim - $800 and the usa - $750) why would this be?? i play alt rock and use the strat to make distorted leads ... would you swap out or not and why ??

I think the main differences are the hwy 1 has the nitro finish and a 22nd fret, and the MIM 60s has those hot CS pups, right?

To me they are comparably priced. It would come down to which of those above features is most (or least) meaningful to you. I would not get too hung up on the MIA vs MIM thing.

i dont know if you mean hot becouse they are CS pickups or hot like a high output pickup?

but they are not hot as in high output, they are pretty low output

I think the biggest difference will be the neck. Not as much the 22 fret 21 fret but that the Classic Player 60 has a 12" fingerboard radius and the Hwy One has a 9.5" radius plus the Classic 60 has vintage tuners and a synthetic bone nut were as the Hyw one has the regular Fender ping tuners used in the MIM Strats I am not sure what the nut is made of on the Hwy One. That feel from a 12 to 9.5 fingerboard to me is very noticable.

my guitar is a 2006 hwy sss, 3 tone sunburst and rosewood fretboard.
in awesome condition.
the only mod ive done is remove the backplate. went to 10s, thene back down to 9s.
i love that guitar, made in usa.
but i have an itch for those cs 69 pickups, and vintage fretboard.
