Hi everyone. I just purchased a new '08 MIA Strat and the only issue I really have is the volume knob is a little off, meaning when it's turned all the way up (to 10), it's actually on 9. Is there a way to take it off and thread it on there properly?

Thanks for you help, and by the way, I love the git.

The knob should come off the pot shaft just by pulling on it. Then push it back on in the position you want it.

Take it off and put it on correctly.

Yep, they just slide right off. You can get replacements too.

Thanks guys. I'll try pulling it off and putting it back on.

Couple of small spoons under either side of the knob to act as levers to gently prise it off is a well known way of removing without damaging anything.

Cheers - C

If they won't budge do what Ceri says or take a string or shoe lace and wrap it around the knob once and gently pry it off. Whatever, don't use pliers like one guy said he was planning to do!
