Just purchased fender noiseless pickups for strat. Wiring components include several resistors. Does anyone have a schematic on know of an online resource for otaining a scheatic for wiring the pickups?

Hi, I have Fender noiseless pickups. I'm guessing that is what you have. If so, then you should have two wires coming from the pickup. A black wire and either a white or yellow wire. The yellow wire comes on bridge pickups and the white comes on middle and neck pickups.

Basically the yellow or white wire goes to the switch and the black goes to the back of the volume pot. You solder the yellow or white exactly where you took the old pickups wire off. Black just goes to the back of the volume pot with a bunch of other wires. The yellow or white is 'hot' and the black is ground. You will not get shocked though.

If you have more then one pickup, I would install them one at a time.

I don't know why you have resisters. Are you sure they are not capacitors? You should only need one, which should already be installed. Usually Fenders run a .022uf cap. You should be able to use the old one as long as it's in good condition. Also keep the heat away from the capacitors. You can use alligator clips, paper clips or something as a heat sink when you are soldering.

If you have the vintage noiseless pickups, the pickup with the yellow wire may well be the bridge pickup.

I put a set of the vintage noiseless in one of my strats a few years back.
I remember them coming with a set of new pots and other "stuff" for their installation. But I don't remember the specifics now.

I "think" that it had two one meg pots for the tone and one 500k pot for the volume. But memory could be faulty here.

There was a schematic came with mine for wiring them up. It was on the back of one of the inserts in the plastic case the pickups came in.

If they are indeed the "vintage noiseless" you will need to get a copy of that schematic. Maybe Fender might post one for you, or send you one if you ask them.
