I tried one out, and I did like it. I found it real versatile.

I like the idea of pushing instead of pulling the knob.
I almost bought an American HSS with the S1, but I dunno.. maybe next time. The last American Strat I bought was in 1988 (still have it), and I wanted to get a black standard.

I'm currently using an Am Dlx HSS Strat as my main axe. It's really awesome because (as others have said) of its versatility.

I am okay with it but rarely engage the button on mine, not because I don't like the sound but just don't get around to it. The Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups are awesome!

s-1 switching is the most versatile wild sounding pick-up wireing set up i have ever herd in the land of stratdom!! im a lover of fender lace sensors however the samarium cobalts in my 50th anniversary strat. RRRule!!!!! crank it up!!! :guitarzan :twisted: :evil:

They just expanded on the 5-way and made it a 10-way.
