I have MN+6 digits, not 5 digits which would indicate a '96-'97 strat.

The guitar is a mexican, and used to be a left handed guitar.

Thanks,

I may be wrong in this, but I don't think so ....

The first number after the letters designates the year of production on any of the Fender serial numbers. If there is a Z then it was built after the year 2000.

Maybe a Fender tech will read this and confirm or correct.

Wow thanks for the quick replies.

Thanks again.

I will! Its starting to wear nicely, though the fretboard can get a little dry at times, this usually goes away with a string change though.

I don't think fender made products in Mexico until about 1990.
