I would say I use my Amer. Tele the most then LP, Straight Six Strat, Std.Strat, Special II in that order lately but it changes.

My stage guitar is a CIJ 1969 reissue Strat and it's great. As a backup I use an American Strat. I also own an original 1968 Telecaster and a Gretsch Duo Jet and have used all of them on stage. I play in a 1960's Showband so we use clean sounds, no distortion, never could see the point of that, and the combination of the 69 reissue and my Cybertwin is awsome

1986 AmStd Strat, bought new, bone stock. Dakota red / rosewood. Plays and sounds better than anything else I've ever owned.

fst, welcome to the forum. As I recall American Strats in '86 were still hard to come by. I ended up settling for an '86 MIJ Contemporary Strat.

OK, I have to ask this, please pardon my ignorance, but what is this "MM Strat" I see many references to? I have'nt been keeping up with all the variations in the last 6 years?
Thank you,

Do you mean MIM?

MIM - Made in Mexico
MIJ - Made in Japan
MIA - Made in America or Made in Asia
CIJ - Crafted in Japan

I would find it very difficult to pick one, but either my American Deluxe Fat Strat in Olympic White or my American Standard in Sunburst.

At the moment it is my MIA Deluxe Ash Strat, This is only until my CS DG NOS comes in at the end of the month, but who knows I may still like my Deluxe better, only time and experience will tell!
