I know everyone has a bunch of different guitars. But if you were to choose one as your main guitar, which would it be?

I bought a 2008 MiM Std. Strat one day and I've preferred it over my '61 Gibson. My only beef with it is that the tuners are slightly loose, otherwise its like the perfect guitar. And I might just be getting a Hwy 1 for my birthday...but somehow, I don't really count on that being a possibility. I can hope though, right? :P

That's a tough one. I can't decide between my Highway One Strat and Les Paul BFG, but since I got them, I don't pick up my MIM Strat as much or my Ibanez SZ. I took the Atomic humbucker out of my HW1 Strat and put the Hot Noiseless bridge pickup in (all three are Hot Noiseless now) and I seem to be playing that more.

you can fix that on the tuners. just take a flathead screwdriver and tighten the little screws on the sides. should tighten right up.

And for me its my '98 MIM Standard. Ive got new pickups, lsr nut, schaller locking tuners, new saddles, and a refretted neck cause I somehow wore the old frets down to nubbies. plays great. I have my friends gibson LP with me atm and it cost more than twice as much as the strat all said and done, my strat cost 800 bucks after all the mods (stretched over some 10 years). The fender reigns supreme, my favorite guitar.

+1, thanks for the advice! Tightened the little screws at the tuners and they're quite solid now. :D

My favorite is my '05 Amer. Series Strat, but my '02 Hwy1 Strat logs the most hours.

My main guitar has always been a Straocaster. While I have used other brands and styles of guitars for different reasons, I always seem to come back the the basic Stratocaster to move forward with again.
I currently own two Amreican made Strats, a 1980 "Strat", and a 1990 Custom Shop Vintage Stratocaster.
I also have two of the Showmaster guitars which I've been using to play out with, both are the HH models, but I've planned to get two of the SSS models to use in place of my Strats.
I must confess though, I have been looking at the Highway One stratocasters and I've been considering getting one of those and modifying it the way I want my Strats to be. That would be one that I'd use to gig with.

1986 AmStd Strat, bought new, bone stock. Dakota red / rosewood. Plays and sounds better than anything else I've ever owned.

Right now, I'd have to say it's my Epiphone Bob Marley Les Paul. Even when I'm doing classic rock stuff, its overall tone is so good that all my other axes have become backups.

That said, I'll probably start using my Tele more for rock. If I ever do blues or R and B-based stuff again, my standard MIM Strat and Fat Strat will get the nods. The Fat Strat's also my backup for when I do reggae.
