Anyone know about this guitar or how old it might be?

It's an Olympic White HSS Strat, however white is only available on the Single-coil Strats as of now. I contacted Fender about 2 weeks ago asking if they made these guitars prior to seeing this picture, and I was told no, but it was a possibility in the future.

Someone posted this about a year ago in the "Pics of your Strat" thread.

Edit: It was actually the user Vintagewhitestrat, who hasn't posted since about that time. Well if you're still around, let me know how you found this guitar or if you put the humbucker in yourself. Thanks

the serial on the headstock says its a mexican strat (mz) its highly likely its a aftermarket installation. Still i could be wrong.

I didn't even zoom in to notice that, thanks. That makes me loose all interest in that guitar lol. I'm looking for a white MIA so I guess the search continues. However I'm still curious about the color, because if it's made in Mexico it must be Arctic White I believe..

That is true(MIMs are of sound quality). However I own a Mexican strat that is an HSS, and an '83 MIA that is an SSS, and am looking for the ultimate trifecta of an HSS American. So I've played the field. I don't know why I am set on Olympic white even after hearing of all the defects and how it will be virtually yellow in 10 or so years but hey, I guess if you like it you like it eh?

Thanks for looking that up. Now I wonder why I never thought of that guitar, and I think it's because I don't care for the color of the pickguard, but that is basically one of the cheapest things to replace. I just realized I own an extra white one to throw on it anyways so that would work out well.

I think the white looks cool when it ages.
